With Canada Day just around the corner, the Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich is inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a full day of family-friendly festivities at the Dutton Dunwich Community Centre and Sons of Scotland Park.
The celebration begins bright and early with a pair of community bike rides led by Councillor Dryfhout. An adult 20-kilometre ride gets underway at 7:30 a.m., followed by a five-kilometre kids ride at 10:30 a.m.
The annual Fire Department Breakfast returns from 8 to 11 a.m., with inflatables, a Good Minds book sale, free public swims, and a Lions food booth all helping kick off the day.
Families can also enjoy crafts with the Dutton Library, a bubble zone and foam pit, a Slip ‘N Slide, and bingo for both adults and children throughout the afternoon.
Opening ceremonies, awards, dignitary remarks, and complimentary Canada Day cake are scheduled for 5 p.m.
The celebration wraps up with a fireworks display at dusk, with a rain date of July 2.
