Whether you’re a lifelong car enthusiast or simply looking for a fun summer evening, Downtown St. Thomas is the place to be Saturday as the 12th annual Nostalgia Nights returns.
Running from 4 to 9 p.m. on July 11, the free event will transform Talbot Street between Ross and Elgin streets into a showcase featuring more than 1,000 classic vehicles, with owners cruising in beginning at 3 p.m.
Beyond the collection of vintage cars, visitors can enjoy a full evening of entertainment, including live music in Hepburn Parkette, a Vintage Vibes market at Moore and Talbot, kids’ activities on Mondamin Street, and a 50/50 draw.
One of the event’s biggest attractions also returns this year, with free L&PS train rides departing hourly from Railway City Tourism between 4 and 8 p.m. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be picked up starting at noon on Saturday at Railway City Tourism.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore Downtown St. Thomas, where merchants, restaurants and cafés will be open late. Moore and Talbot, along with Hepburn Parkette, will be licensed areas during the event, offering visitors a chance to enjoy local food and beverages while taking in the festivities.
Those looking to discover even more can download the free Goosechase app and use the Summer in Downtown guide (code TNJV79) to find pop-up activities happening throughout Nostalgia Nights and the rest of the summer.
You are reminded that Talbot Street will be closed to regular traffic from Ross Street to Elgin Street beginning at noon to allow for event setup, with the closure remaining in place until 9 p.m.
