Families in St. Thomas will have an opportunity to access free dental care this week as Southwestern Public Health brings its mobile dental clinic to the city.
The clinic will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ignite Youth Centre, located at 745 Talbot Street.
Open to children and youth aged 0 to 17, the clinic will offer free dental checkups and fluoride treatments on a drop-in basis, with no appointment required.
During each visit, a Registered Dental Hygienist will check for cavities and signs of tooth decay, monitor dental development, and provide oral health education for families. Parents can also receive guidance on brushing habits, oral hygiene, and other factors that can affect children’s oral health.
For more information, residents can contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 or visit swpublichealth.ca.
