A 44-year-old St. Thomas man has been charged by London Police following an alleged sexual assault and kidnapping in that city last month.
Police say just before noon on June 4, a woman was walking in the 600-block of Adelaide Street when she was approached by an unknown man who started talking to her.
She was lured into the man’s car and then he threatened her with a knife, restrained her hands and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect fled in the vehicle and the victim contacted police.
The suspect vehicle was determined to be a 2014 grey Ford Focus, and the suspect was identified and arrested on June 5.
Gregory Zehr has been charged with the following:
- Sexual assault with a weapon or imitation weapon;
- Forcible confinement;
- Kidnapping;
- Uttering threats/death or bodily harm;
- Assault with a weapon; and
- Possession of a weapon.
London Police are also appealing to members of the public who may have been in the areas of Adelaide Street and Pall Mall Street, or Oxford Street East and Mornington Avenue on June 4, 2026, between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., and who may have information, dash-cam footage, or residential or business video surveillance, to contact police.
