A 41-year-old Aylmer man is facing impaired driving charges after police say he was found to have a blood alcohol concentration more than three times the legal limit.
Aylmer Police say they received a report of a suspected impaired driver from an off-duty police officer around 4:30 p.m. on July 29.
Officers located the driver at a residence on Melanie Drive and took him into custody. Police say breath tests conducted at the station resulted in readings of more than 3.5 times the legal limit.
The man has been charged with impaired operation and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
He was later released on an appearance notice with his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating impounded for seven days.
