The City of St. Thomas used last week’s Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa to further lobby for the transfer of Highbury Avenue to provincial ownership.
The city delegation included Mayor Joe Preston and City Manager Lisa Higgs.
They teamed up with representatives from the City of London and County of Elgin for a delegation with the Ministry of Transportation on the future of Highbury Avenue.
They would like to see the province assume ownership of Highbury Avenue from the south branch of the Thames River to the Hwy. 3 roundabout in St. Thomas.
