A Central Elgin resident faces more than 20 charges following an intimate partner violence investigation launched on Sept. 9.
The 34-year-old individual has been charged with five counts of spousal assault along with related charges.
No injuries were reported.
Elgin OPP advise they will not release names to protect the identiy of the victim or victims.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court today (Tuesday).
They face the following charges:
- Five counts of spousal assault
- Four counts of spousal assault with a weapon
- Four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Two counts of spousal assault causing bodily harm
- Two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm – spousal
- Two counts of careless storage of a firearm
- Uttering threats to cause death – bodily harm
- Domestic mischief
- Point a firearm
