“Best First Day” Ball Hockey Tournament

We’re hosting a ball hockey tournament July 30th-31st to raise funds for school supplies in support of the “Best First Day” campaign (partnered with United away and Thames Valley Education Foundation) to supply children in need in the community as they prepare for back to school! There will be a silent auction going on the 30th from 8am-5pm and we have had lots of generous donations from some awesome local businesses & some other donations from local people!
We hope you’ll come on out and check out some of the awesome items to bid on! We’ll also have a donation box for school items if you would like to just contribute that way. Any school items and non perishable PEANUT FREE snack items would be greatly appreciated but we will also have a “Cents for Snacks” change collection canister and any money collected will go towards New Sarum’s breakfast and snack program! Our daughter starts JK there in the fall and when asked how we could best support the school, donations for that was their top request.
Subzero will have their ice cream truck out as well as The App Shack for some yummy treats both days (times to be determined)!
Each day we will have kids and adult pickup games apart from the actual tournament scheduled games that anyone can come and join in! We just ask that a small change donation of any amount or school supply item be brought in to join in on the fun!
If you are interested in joining a team there are still spots available in the tournament at $20 a player! We can add you to a team that isn’t full if you don’t have a team of your own (minimum 4 players plus a goalie for a team).
We hope to see lots of you out playing or cheering on the teams! Thank you United Way Elgin Middlesex and St Thomas Police Service for collecting for such a great cause!
