Railway City Angel Gowns Fundraiser
We will have a live performer, local Joe Docherty, performing his first solo show, silent auction, all net funds go directly back to Railway City Angel , At Railway City Angel Gowns, we are committed to providing comfort, dignity, & compassion to families grieving the loss of a baby or child. Our dedicated team of volunteers lovingly transforms donated wedding & formal gowns into beautiful burial and bereavement garments—tiny Angel Gowns and wraps meant to honor these precious lives gone far too soon. Each gown is crafted by hand with immense care and respect. The process begins with the careful deconstruction of donated dresses, followed by hours of sewing, knitting, and crocheting to create intricate, delicate garments small enough for the tiniest of babies. These Angel Gowns are then donated at no cost to hospitals, funeral homes, and directly to grieving families. But our volunteers don’t stop there. When materials can’t be used for burial garments, our volunteers repurpose them into handmade items—keepsakes, memory bears, accessories, and more—that are sold to raise vital funds for the charity. Every stitch, every button, and every bit of lace tells a story of compassion. No one at Railway City Angel Gowns takes a salary. We are entirely volunteer-run, and 100% of all proceeds go directly back into supporting our mission: to offer a small measure of comfort to families experiencing unimaginable loss. The impact of our work is perhaps best expressed by the words of a grieving father: "This is the only wedding dress my daughter will ever wear." We carry that truth in our hearts with every gown we create. Each one is a tribute—not just to the baby who has passed, but to the deep, enduring love their families hold. If you'd like to support our work through donations, sponsorship, or collaboration, please reach out. Together, we can ensure that no family walks through their grief alone., no volunteer makes a salary.
