Following an investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Elgin County OPP have identified the victim of the apartment fire in West Lorne last Wednesday.
The day following the fire, investigators discovered human remains inside the apartment located on Graham Road and a post mortem was conducted.
As a result, the deceased has been identified as 38 year old April Calcutt.
Police say that no foul play is suspected in the death and the fire has been deemed non-suspicious in nature.
