The province has advised nearly 100 long-term care homes have missed the deadline to provide air conditioning in the rooms of all residents.
As myFM informed you last week, all homes operated by the City of St. Thomas and Elgin county are in compliance.
We have now also confirmed the four other licensed long-term care homes in the city and county did meet the June 23 deadline under legislation passed last year.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Long-Term care notes 98 of the province’s 627 facilities missed that date for a variety of reasons including supply chain issues.
