An Ontario court will decide whether or not 26-year-old Shane Marshall of St. Thomas, who threw gravel at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, will spend time in jail.
A prosecutor argued Monday the man’s actions in 2021 were not just an assault on a candidate, but an assault on our democracy.
He called for a sentence of 30 days.
The defence lawyer, meanwhile, says his client’s impulse and anger management issues got the better of him during the event in London.
