The Salvation St. Thomas Church and Community Ministries will be hosting an Emergency Preparedness Week event on Friday, May 10th from 5 to 6:30 p.m. They’ll be a BBQ, carnival games, bouncy castles, face painting and more for the whole family, while learning about different emergence disaster services and other city partners during Emergency Preparedness Week.

Saturday Stories goes tomorrow at the St. Thomas Public Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Join staff each Saturday for storytime, which is full of active songs and stories!
Drop N’ Swap: Comic Book Exchange will take place on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Come out to May’s Drop N’ Swap to clear out your comic collection and pick up some new reads.

Opening Day of the Horton Farmers’ Market goes this Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon! Just in time for those last minute Mother’s Day gifts, the market will transform from the Winter at Horton set up, to having both outdoor pavilions open again. Learn more here!

MOM-stravaganza is taking place Saturday at St. Thomas Anglican Church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll be vendors, a cafe, BBQ, bake table, raffles and more. Details can be found here.

The Railway City Wind Ensemble will host their Season-ending Concert Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each with elementary aged children free. The concert theme is based on the Four Classical Elements – Earth, Water, Wind and Fire

Canadian Celtic Choir – Celtic Memories come to Holy Angels’ Church on Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $25, Please join us in our beautiful downtown church. This is a fundraising event for Holy Angels’ restoration fund. Learn more here.

The Mother’s Day Vendors Market is taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Union Sports Club. Vendors from around the county will be in attendance and the first 100 visitors get a special gift for Mom!
