1. A 72-year-old St. Thomas resident is facing multiple charges following an incident at a Talbot Street convenience store early Monday morning. Police were called to the store around 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an assault.
Investigators say the 72-year-old allegedly attacked an employee who tried to prevent them from leaving without paying for items.

2. A 36-year-old St. Thomas resident has been charged after a disturbance at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital last week.
3. Polls have officially closed across Elgin-Middlesex-London and the rest of Ontario. With 72 of 72 polls tabulated, Progressive Conservative Rob Flack has officially been re-elected with 55.80% of the vote.
