The St. Thomas Stars are set to open the 2026-27 regular season on home ice Friday evening.
The Stars will host the Strathroy Rockets at the Joe Thornton Community Centre, with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.
Fans can get the evening started early with a pre-game Tailgate Party at the Columbus Club of St. Thomas, running from 4- 7. The free event will feature food, activities, draws, and a hockey skills challenge, with proceeds supporting both the Knights of Columbus and the Stars.
Friday is also myFM Fill the Rink Night, with free tickets to help pack the Joe, available at the myFM office at 300 Talbot Street, while supplies last. Any leftover tickets will be brought to the Tailgate Party to be handed out.
