1. As we cap off National Pet Month, myFM is shining a spotlight on the people, organizations, and businesses helping care for the furry friends that make our community special with our week-long ‘Animal House’ Feature.
For nearly 33 years, Animal Aide of St. Thomas-Elgin has been giving vulnerable cats a second chance at life while supporting pet owners and animal lovers across the region.
2. As announced in April, 2024, the city launched a pilot partnership with the YMCA, offering city residents access to indoor aquatics programs during the months that Jaycees Pool is closed.

3. Calling it an incredible accomplishment, a ceremony was held last Thursday to celebrate Doug Tarry Homes’ 20th anniversary of building ENERGY STAR® homes in the communities they serve.
